It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mary Wanjiku Wamai of Kiguru Village, Amboni Sub Location, Mweiga Location, Kieni West Sub County, Nyeri County, which occurred on 2/11/2023.

Daughter of the late Stephen Githinji and the late Teresa Muthoni.

Wife to the late Joseph Wamai Kuria.

Sister to the late Priscilla Wangeci of Kandara, Elizabeth Wambui Muthui of Njeng’u, John Mwangi of Ng’arua, the late Richard Ndiritu of Kihato, Margaret Wairimu of Naromoru, Loise Watetu of Matanya and Fiorence Njeri Ngotho of Komothai. Step-Sister to Nyathegi, Wamucii, the late Wachiuri, Ndung’u and the late Watetu.

Sister-in-law of Muthoni, the late Ngina, the late Kang’uru, the late King’are and the late Theuri.

Mother to the late Jane Wanjiru, James Kuria and Loise Wanjira, Susan Muthoni, Stephen Githinji and Eunice Muthoni, Paul Maina and Jane Wangari, John Mwangi and Martha Wangeci and Esther, Alice Wambui and James Mahinda, Robert

King’are and Margaret Muthoni, Rev Canon Miriam Wangechi and Shadrack Kagiri, the late Richard Ndiritu and Jane Wairimu.

Grandmother to Rosemary Wambui and David Mugambi, Jackson Ndirangu, lan Macharia, Alex Ngacha, Gloria Liz Wangari, Maureen Wanjiku and Joel Mathia, Alma Tracy Wanjiru, Joseph Wamai Githinji, Ann Nyawira, Joseph Wamai Maina, Mary Wanjiku Maina, Denis Wachira, the late Alex Wamai Mwangi, Teresa Gathoni, Joseph Wamai Mahinda, Simon Wahome Mahinda, Immaculate Wanjiku, Claris Wanjiku, Alan Muhoro, Faith Wangui, Arthur Wamai, Joseph Wamai Ndiricu, Mary Wanjiku Ndiritu and Fidelis Wangu. She was a mother, aunt and great-grandmother to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her home in Kiguru Village, from 4.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Mary Immaculate Hospital Mortuary Mweiga on Friday 10/11/2023 at 8.00am for mass at 11.00am and burial thereafter at her home – Kiguru Village, Ambooni.

Eternal Rest grant unto her oh Lord, and let perpetual Light Shine upon her, May she rest in peace. Amen
