MARY WANJIRU KARIUKI

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved Mary Wanjiru Kariuki. Wife of Stephen Kariuki Muruga. She hails from Othaya, Nyeri County.

Daughter-in-law of the late Johannah Muruga, the late Wangechi, Loise and Serah. Mother of Wangechi and Wachira Mathu, Kennedy Muruga and Wambui, Julia and Wainaina (WK) and Flashia Wanja. Daughter of the late Ndegwa Mugo and Julia Wangui of Gaaki, Aguthi Location, Nyeri County.

Sister of Elizabeth, the late Anna, the late Nyaruai, Miriam, Shipphira, Emily and the late Grace. Grandmother of Mathu, Vivian, Mugweru, Terry, Christine, Kim and Eric. Great-grandmother of Wangechi, Liam, Lakisha & Tecra. Aunt of Gitonga’s, Julia’s, Mugo’s, Dr. Kariuki Muruga, Rachel Kamau, Njoki, Kagiri, among others. Step-sister of Gachugu, Kahiga, Wandeto, Wahito, Monica and others.

Prayers and burial briefing will be held at all Saints Cathedral on Thursday 2nd December, 2021, at 5.00pm. (Please note Garden Square meeting will be as usual).

The cortege leaves Outspan Funeral Home, on Saturday, 4th December, 2021 at 9:00am. Funeral service starts from 11.30am at Witima Primary Grounds and thereafter burial will follow at her husband’s Home in Gathugu Village, Iteme-ini, Othaya, Nyeri County.
