MARY WANJIRU THUMBI

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved MaryWanpruThumbi, which occurred on Saturday 20th May, 2023.

Loving wife to Onesmus Thumbi Ndegwa. Cherished mother to Serah Nyambura, Philip Ndegwa, and Kelvin Ruingi. Mother-in-law to Peter Kairu, and a doting grandmother to lvy Wambui and Imela Wanjiru.

Loving daughter of the late Ethan Ruingi and Rachael Wanjiku of Githiga village, Muranga County. Daughter-in-law to the late Ernest and Serah Nyambura Ndegwa.

Sister to Wairimu Ruingi, Mwangi Ruingi, the late Nyanjiru Kimari, the late Ndungu Ruingi and Jane Muturi.

Sister-in-law to the late Dr. Raphael and Edith Chege; the late Prof. Peter and Alberta Gadi, the late Peter and Beth Kamuhu; the late Henry Kibue and Irene Kibue; the late John and Jemimah Maina; the late Wilson Wangire and Grace Wangire; the late Franklin and Virginia Njagi; Evanson and Milka Muhiu and Joycelen Ndegwa. She was a dear aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting at her home in Nairobi.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home at 7.00am on Tuesday, 30th May, 2023 for the funeral service and burial at her home in Githiga Village, Murang’a County.
