It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Retired Teacher Matriarch Rachael Lusike Nalianya.

Daughter of the late Mzee Isaiah Matinyi (Omungachi) and the late mama Elizabeth Nakhungu (Omusonge) Sister of Martha Fwamba, Paramount Chief John Sifuma (rtd), the late Joyce Lwile, the late Stephen Wapata, David Kiveu, the late Ruth Abuki, Dr. Zipporah Sisungo, the late Selina Murunga, Beatrice Sikuku,Violet Nang’oni, Dennis Kakai, Ayub Tubaka among others.

Wife of the late John Nalianya Opicho (Omulako) and Co-wife of the late Robai, Mary Nalianya and Anne Nalianya .

Mother of Rtd. Teacher Margaret Wekesa, Apostle James Nalianya, Rtd Teacher Roselyne Waluke, Edward Kisaka (Eldowas), Bishop Dr. Andrew Kakai (CRC), Hellen Khasoa, Eunice Natenge (Kisumu), David Simiyu (KRA), Emmanuel Wanjala (Teacher), Elizabeth Mercy Nakhungu, (Bungoma County), Carolyne Natalie (KRA).

Step Mum of Catherine Kulundu, Grace Sirengo, Peter wafula, Christine, Moses, Dorcas and others.

Sister in-Law of the late Mutende, the Late Norah, the late Christopher, Esther, Humphrey, Tom, Steward, Geoffrey, Titus and many others.

Auntie of the Cheloti’s, the Sifuma’s, the Lwile’s,The Kiveu’s, the Inyanji’s, the Sisungo’s, the Murunga’s, the Sikuku’s, the Nangónis, the Kakai’s, the Tubaka’s among others.

Mother in law of Julius Wekesa, the late Edna, Lilian, Hon. John Waluke, Beatrice Kisaka, Josephine Kakai, the late Wenani. Joseph Ayuoyi, the late Juliana Simiyu, Brenda Simiyu, Pauline Wanjala and Japheth Musyoki.

She is survived by 44 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Eldoret hospital morgue on Thursday 18th July 2024 for her home at Chekata farm, Moi’s Bridge, Soy Sub County, Uasin Gishu County.

The funeral service will be on Saturday 20th July 2024 at Mogoon, opposite Maji Mazuri flower farm starting from 8.15am and thereafter Burial at her Farm in Chekata.
