It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that the Family wishes to announce the death of Licensed Surveyor Hon. Maurice Mitekho Lishenga.

Beloved son of the late Alphonce Lishenga and the late Bernadette Isaisi. Loving husband to Fanice Ayuma Mitekho. Wonderful father to Jackline Khibali, the late Evans Luyanje, Dr Brian Lishenga (Egerton University), Eng Kevin Joel Lishenga (Va, USA), Edwin Oscar Lishenga, Assumpta Kaleji, Leon Lishenga, Ann Saisi, Jeremy Lishenga, Harun Lishenga & Tanisha Saisi. Father-in-law to Freciah Ann Langat, Faith Kyalo & Victoria Anyona. Doting grandfather to Whitney, Britney, Delvin, Breana, Ayanna, James, Christian, Susan & Joanna.

Brother to Sr Carolyne Iswa, the late Dymphina lndasi, the late Alfred Mugaisi, Hilda Maitha, Prof Lisiolo Lishenga (UoN) & Bernadine Khalachi. Brother-in-law to Hellen, Jennifer, Queen, Jacinta, Prisca, Ambassador Shitsama, Jason Stanlake Mulama, KhaIyisio, Janet, Rose, Marina among many more. Endearing uncle to Mutsembi, Benard, Godfrey, Patrick, Origine, Ikolomani, Praxicedes, Derrick Shikanga,Tony, Gerald, Sylvia among others.

The cortege leaves St Mary’s Mission Mortuary, Mumias on Wednesday 11th March 2019 at 9am for a Memorial Service at 9:45am at St Joseph’s Catholic Parish, Kakamega and after that for viewing and vigil at his Maraba Estate home, Kakamega.

The Burial will be held on Friday 13th March 2020 at his Maraba Estate home, Kakamega preceded by a Requiem Mass at Bukhungu Stadium.

There will be a fundraiser for funeral expenses on Tuesday 10th March 2020, Friends Hotel Kakamega.
