MCHEKU ZILLAH KODAWA

It is with deep sorrow and submission to God’s will that we announce the death of our beloved Mother, Aunt, Grandmother, Great grandmother and Friend, Mama Zillah Kodawa which occurred on Sunday morning 16th January 2022. Mama Zillah Kodawa was born in 1938 in Taveta, Malukiloriti (formerly India) Village.

Beloved Daughter of the late Mzee Anaeli Sowene Loroghwa and the late Koko Mary Mnyamisi Anaeli. Beloved wife of the late Mzee William Kodawa.

Sister to the late Sikitu Mola, Hamadi Mtiri and others. Sister-in-law to Samuel Kikarara, Elijah Waza and others.

Mother to Dorah Kawiti, Babu Masharubu, Anaeli Nashera, Issac Matano, Patrick Lumumba, Mary Haika, David Amani, Dayanz Ndundu and Benjamin Manemane.

Grandmother to Lumunge Kawiti, Kodawa Masharubu, Ara Nashera Kodawa, Kodawa Paschal Matano, Zillah Lumumba, Wedi Ndundu and others. Great-grandmother to Isabel Daniel, Cheptoo Kodawa and others.

Mother-in-law to Jacob Kawiti, Harriet Masharubu, Christine Nashera, Winnie Matano, Asha Lumumba and Diana Ndundu.

Family and Friends are meeting daily, at her home in Mahoo Village and at All Saints Cathedral Nairobi on Wednesday, 19th- January 2022, at 5.00pm.

Mama Zillah Kodawa will be laid to rest on Saturday 22nd January 2022 in Mahoo Ward, Taveta Constituency.

We loved her but God loved her Most. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
