MELENIA JEPTARUS CHEBOI

We are saddened to announce the passing on of Melenia Jeptarus Cheboi of Illula farm-Uasin Gishu County after a long illness.

She was born in 1949 at Kipsoen in Elgeyo Marakwet to the late Kipleliet Nduiga and the late Taplulei. Beloved wife to Lt. Col. James Kibiy Cheboi (Rtd) DCO. Beloved mother to Jennifer Jepkoskei (USAID), Zipporah Chebet (Kenya Tourist Board), Joseph Kiprotich (Nairobi), Caroline Jepkorir (Tiwani Primary- Kitale), Georgina Cherono (Citam School- Nakuru), Lillian Cheruto (UAE), Joan Jemutai (Eldoret).

Sister to the late Kileges, the late Lesire, Michael, Simeon, Magdalene, Priscillah, Chetui, the late Lillian, the late Abraham, James, Raymond, Lawrence, Joseph, Samoei Kuito, the late Joseph Kishuru, the late Indiani-Nainabu, the late Petronilla, Mariam (Mombasa) amongst others.

Mother-in-law to Ronald Kiprono, Alice Bett and Sylvester Chepkok. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Eldoret hospital farewell home for Illula farm on Friday, 17th June, 2022 for an overnight stay. She will be laid to rest on Saturday, 18th June, 2022 at her home in Illula Farm.
