MERCIE WANJIRU GACHIE

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of Mercie Wanjiru Gachie.

Daughter of the late Rtd Elder John Gachie Njoroge and Gladwell Wanjiku Gachie. Loving sister of Wariara Ruth, the late Stephen Njoroge and Wachuka Njoroge, Margaret Wanjira and the late Polycarp Shitakha, the late Wangui Grace, Anthony Gathu and Mercy Nyandia, Kiruri Richard and Sarah Kiruri.

Doting mother to Rita Wanjiku and Joy Wariara. Devoted auntie to Kwasi and Goretti, Natasha and Teejay, Melissa and Damian, Gash, Mariga, Peter, Terri, Chie, Makena and the late Joy. Indulgent grandmother to Tuti, Kelechi, Amelia, Jerome and Wachuka.

Niece of the late Grace Nyaucha and the late Henry Ngacha, the late Handerson Kiruri and Grace Njeri, the late Beatrice Wairimu and the late Charles Muteru, Nathan Wainaina and Hannah Wanjiku. She was also the niece of the Late Godwin Gathu, Hannah Nyambura and John Kariuki. Much-loved cousin of Susan Ng’endo, Gladys Kamata, Gitahi Muteru, Elizabeth Wanjiru, Faith Nguru, Geoffrey Gathu, and all their siblings.

Family and friends are meeting at the family home in Kikuyu daily at 3.00pm for prayers and funeral preparations.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home tomorrow, Thursday 21st October, 2021, at 9.00am for the funeral service which will be held at Church of the Torch. Kikuyu, from 11.00arn. Burial will be at the family home in Kikuyu immediately after.
