Death has occurred of Michael Gitahi Wambugu (Mundu wa Wambugu) Businessman Nyamakima of Gitundu Village Othaya Sub-County, Nyeri County at the Mater Hospital on 18/07/2020 after a short illness.

Son of the late Daniel Wambugu Wakahiu and the late Elena Kamuyu Wambugu. Husband of Jacinta Wangari Gitahi. Father of the late John Wambugu, Peter Wakahiu, Simon Muriithi, Martin Njagi, Hellen Wanjugu (USA), Antony Kamondo, Dominic Mania and Antony Irungu of Britam Insurance. Brother of the late Peter Wakahiu, the late Cecilia Wangui Gichunewa, the late Joseph Njagi and the late John Maina (Wariahe). Son-in-law of the late Kamondo Muriithi and the late Wakanyi Kamondo. Father-in-law of Alice Njoki, Monica Wairimu, Jane Wangari, Mary Wachuka and Susan Nduta. Uncle of Muthoni Wakahiu, Muthoni Gichungwa, Hellen Ndirangu, Wambugu Njagi, Kariuki Njagi, Muriithi Njagi and Kihara Epcan among others. Cousin, friend and grand and great grandfather of many.
