MICHAEL OSCAR OTIENO MAINYA

It is with humble acceptance to God’s will that the Otieno family informs you of the promotion to glory of Michael Oscar Otieno Mainya, on Saturday, February 5th, 2022 while undergoing treatment.

He was the eldest son of the Late John Otieno Odero and Anastasia Okuna Otieno. Son-in-law to Silvanus Oduor and Agnes Oduor. Loving husband to Catherine Mainya, and adoring father to Fiddelice Jessica Nyosesse (Adele), Adam Victor Mainya and Anastasia Maria Nyakinga (Tasha).

Grandson to the Late Stefan Odero Mainya and the Late Bendetta Odero of Mfangano Island, and Late Laurenti Olal and Late Maria Onjula of Utegi,Tanzania. Cherished brother to Catherine Irene Nyawire-Ng’oche, late Fidelis Otieno, Caroline Waliuba, Joan Otieno-Davis, Lilian Adoyo-Kielty, Christopher Omondi, Stephen Odero and James Ogweno.

Brother-in-law to Amos Ng’oche, Michael Waliuba, Calvin Davis, Ed Kielty, Cindy Karanja, Maureen Akubu-Odero, Jane Etyanga, Florentine Orunga, Martin Oduor, Marygoretti Omondi, Thomas Mboya Odongo, Maureen Atieno, Jude Lubalo and the Late Grace Ayoo.

Adored uncle to Marcus, Maya, Joanna, Aaron, Savannah, Jerome, Cecilia, Fiona, Ian, Stephanie, Gavine, Talia, Shallot, Emmanuel, Tatyana, Terrance, Peter, TJ, Beverly, Diana and Bill.

Requiem Mass will be held at Shrine of Mary Help of Christians, Don Bosco Church, Upper Hill on Wednesday February 16th 2022 at 2pm.

Burial will be on Friday February 18th 2022 at his home Komanda, Kaksingri East, Suba South.
