It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the death of Mike Tyson Abwao of Safaricom PLC.
Son to David Otieno Abwao, Christine Abwao and Millicent Otieno of Wasamo Village, Mfangano Island, Homa Bay County.
Husband of Verah Atieno and doting father to Tinnah Nyiwaso Abwao.
Brother to Valmy Otieno, Valentine Abwao, Hellen Otieno, Mary Otieno, Ian Francis and Tammy Jato.
Grandson of the late Odingo Abwao, Margaret Abwao, Jeremiah Abwao, Maritha Abwao, Margaret Ogalo, Mary Okoth, the late Richard Mbuya of Asembo Bay and Mary Atieno Mbuya.
Son-in-law to Kennedy Omollo and Millicent Omollo of Kagan in Homa Bay County.
Nephew to Josiah Mungai, Phillip, Kennedy, Vincent, Lawrence, Martin, Bernard, Lucas, Odongo Omodia, Widmark Okondo and Alex Mbuya among others. Cousin to many and uncle to Lyra Paige.
The memorial service will be held on Wednesday 11th January, 2023 at Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Solution Centre – Mbagathi Way from 2.00pm and thereafter leave for Mfangano Island on Wednesday evening.
The body will be laid to rest on Friday 13th January, 2023 at his family’s home in Wasamo Village, Mfangano Island, Homa Bay County.
