It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Monica Nyambura Gikaria.

Wife of the late Amos Gikaria Kiriamburi. 

Mother of Ndiritu Gikaria (Kenyatta University), Samuel Kigera (Gichira), John Wachira (Gichira), James Kariuki (Egerton University), Simon Mwangi (Kitengela), David Wambugu (Maralal), Anne Wanja Ndung’u (Mama Ngina University) and Loise Nyawira Gitonga (Kenyatta University).

Mother in law of Lucy Ndiritu, Naomi Kariuki, Irene Kigera, Mary Mwangi, Eddah Wachira, Grace Wanjiku, John Ndung’u Ngige and Timothy Gitonga.

Sister of John Wachira Gathiga, the late Esther Wamucii Kiberenge, the late Susan Nyambura and Solomon Githaiga Gathiga.

Grandmother and great grandmother of many.

Family and friends are meeting in Gichira-Tetu for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The Cortege leaves Nyeri Consolata Mathari Hospital Mortuary on Friday 21st June 2024 at 9:00 am followed by a funeral mass St. Thomas Aquinas Gichira Catholic Church from 11:00 am. She will later be laid to rest in her home in Gichira, Tetu Sub County, Nyeri County.
