MONICA WAITHIRA KIMANI

30th December, 1946 – 27th May, 2023

We are deeply saddened to inform you of the passing of our mom, sister, friend and teacher.

Monica was the daughter of William Murugami and Scolastica Nduta.

She was wife to the late Stephen Mwangi Kimani. Mother to George Kimani, the late Andrew Murugami, the late Lucy Kabura, Dr. Scolastica Kimani, Grace Wairimu, Michael Maim and Maryanne Kimani. Mother-in-law to Laban Ndegwa and Walter Kwena. Grandmother to Kyle Mwangi, Hailey Zaka Kimani, Mike (Billy) Mwangi, Naomi Waithera, Emmanuel Kamau, Joshua Mwangi and Joel Nyoro. Great grandmother to Niall Kimori.

Sister to the late Emily Wambui Githuku, Hanna Wanjiru Mwangi, Alphonse Irungu Murugami and the late Esther Gathiri Wangunyu.

Prayer meetings and funeral arrangements are taking place at her home in Karen from 4:00 – 6:00p.m.

The requiem mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Holy Ghost Parish, Karen, on Tuesday, 6th June at 11.00a.m.

Family and friends will meet at Montezuma funeral home on Mbagathi Way on Wednesday, 7th June at 7.00a.m. The cortege will leave for Muranga at 8.00a.m. for the funeral and final repose.
