MORRIS NDAGURI MUIRURI

8th June, 1943 ~ 10th July, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the demise of Morris Ndaguri Muiruri which occurred in the wee hours of the morning of Wednesday 10th July 2024 at the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH).

Until his demise, Morris was the Deputy Chairperson of the Standard Chartered Bank Pensioners Fund having worked at Standard Chartered Bank of Kenya for over 30 years, rising to the position of a Senior Manager in Operations at the time of his retirement.

Morris was the husband of the late Dorcas Wairimu and Eunice Wambui.

He was the father of Harris and Freda Muiruri, Eston and Christine Muiruri and James and Carole Mwangi.

Morris was a doting grandfather of Tim Dagori, Joe Karani, Keysha Wambui and Keiler Muthoni.

Morris was the first born son of the late Morris Muiruri and the late Priscah Nduta.

He was the brother of Morris Maina, Morris Mungai, Wanjiku Githae, Morris Mwangi, and the late Morris Ndung’u.

Morris was a brother in-law, cousin and uncle to many.

At the time of his death, Morris was undergoing treatment at KUTRRH having been hospitalised on his 81st birthday, 32 days earlier.

As per his wishes to be interred within 48 hours of his passing, a funeral service was held on Thursday 11th July, 2024 at ACK St. James Church, Buruburu.

His remains were immolated the following day at the Kariokor Crematorium.

A memorial service to celebrate his life shall be held at a later date.

The date, time and place shall be communicated.
