MOSES KAGIRI NDIRITU

1St September, 1941 – 21st February, 2023

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Moses Kagiri Ndiritu of Nanyuki who went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, 21st February, 2023 at The Nairobi Hospital, following a short illness bravely borne.

He was the son of the late Erastus Ndiritu (Sir DD) and the late Agnes Wanjugu Ndiritu. Son-in-law to the late Peter Muchemi Gichangi and the late Esther Wanjiru Muchemi.

Loving husband to Catherine Gathoni Kagiri of Nanyuki. Loving father to Martin Kagiri & Esther Mwendwa, Agnes Wahito & Dr. Humphrey Murimi Muriithi, Esther Kagiri and Hon. Jane Wangechi Kagiri (Laikipia County Member of Parliament). Grandfather to Yvonne and Faith Ndiritu, Cate Gathoni, Matthew Murimi, Marcus Murimi and Greg Thimba.

Brother to the late Jane Njuki and the late Boniface Njuki, Janet Warari and the late Samuel Warari, Mary Ndegwa and the late Joseph Ndegwa, Rev. Rahab Gatuguta and Jeremiah Gatuguta, the late Eliud Mwangi and Anne Wangui Mwangi, Susan Munyiri and the late Isaac Munyiri, Anne Ngugi and Daniel Ngugi Kimani, Merioth Wanyama and Walter Wanyama, Raphael Kariuki and Carol Atieno, Salome Wanja and Gilbert Murimi.

Brother-in-law to Paul & Esther Wanjau, Margaret & Gerald Wanyeki, Stephen & Virginia Wachira, Teresa Wanja, Simon Mwangi, Joseph & Grace Maina, Felister Nyambura & John Kagwi, Anne Wanjiku Muchemi and Jane Wangechi Muchemi. Cousin, Uncle, Grandfather and friend to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily at 5.00pm at EMESS Hotel – Nanyuki, his residence in Mugambi Estate, Nanyuki, at his farm in Miagayui-ini, Kimathi Location, Nyeri and All Saints Cathedral – Nairobi except for Saturday and Sunday (25th  & 26th February, 2023) where they will be held at Thompson Glade Apartments, Mbaazi Avenue.

2nd Timothy 4:7 — “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” –
