The family of the late Mackenzie Mogere humbly accept God’s will and wishes to announce the passing on of our beloved !lauding Mackenzie Mogere, on 20/07/2023 at Tabaka Hospital.

Son of the late Mogere Mogoi and the late Mama Agnes Itumbe. Son-in-law to the late Mzee Livingstone and Hebisiba Nyachwaya of Kitale.

Brother to the late Nyansiaboka, Achuti, Rhoda, Moses, Simeon, Dominic, David, the late Marucha, Atebe, Julius, Oeri, the late Tom, Obed, Peter, the late Kepha, Teresa, Truphena, Susanah, Annah, Nyanchama, Sarange and the late Moragwa.

Devoted husband to Betty Moraa Mogere. Loving father to Dickens and Loretta, the late Emma and the late Phelix, Dr. Alex and Anne, Peter and Nancy, Lenah and Patrick; and Anne Kerubo.

Mzee Mackenzie was a father, leader, mentor, guardian, in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily at the family home in Ruora Village, Kisii County and Komarock Estate – Phase 3.

The cortege will leave Bosongo Medical Centre – Kisii, on 03/08/2023 for a night vigil at his home. Burial service will be held at Gotichaki grounds on 04/08/2023 followed by the burial ceremony at their Ruora Home.
