MRS MARY WANJIKU MUNGA (CUCU MARY)

 Sunrise: 24th July, 1944 — Sunset: 22nd February, 2022

It is with humble acceptance and thanksgiving to God, the Munga’s family announce the passing on to higher Glory of our Mum and Matriarch, Mary Wanjiku Munga, which happened on 22nd February 2022.

She was wife to Mr Simon Munga Kamau of Buru Buru. Daughter of the late Mr & Mrs Stephen Mungai Kinyanya of Giktlini, Lower Kabete Kiambu. Loving mother to Sonia Mwadime & Prof. Robert Mwadime (Uganda), Angela Wambui (Bai) & Anthony Mwangi, Kamau Munga & Perry Kamau, Stephen Munga & Doris Nduku andWagana (Circute) & Catherine Gathoni.

She was sister to the late David Njoroge Mungai, the late Joseph King’atua, the late Joseph Mbugua, Peter Kuria (Atlanta, USA), Charles Nguri Mungai, Grace Njeri Haiyae, Francis Gitau Mungai & Andrew Nga’ng’a Mungai.

Adoring grandma to Zawadi, Baraka & Meki, Muthoni, Waruinge & Munga, Ryan & Ray, Eric & Simon, Maryjoy, Shimonih & Jubi. Great-grandma to Zamar and Ariella. She was a dear Aunty, cousin, friend and mentor to many.

A memorial service will be held at the St. Andrews Church, Nairobi on Monday 28th Feb 2022 at 3pm.

The body leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Tuesday 1st March 2022 at 7am, for a funeral service at PCEA Mumbuini Church in Othaya starting 11am. Burial will be held thereafter at the family farm in Kahutiri Village, Mumbuini, Chinga in Othaya.
