MWALIMU IRENE ODUOR ONYANGO

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden demise of Mwalimu Irene Oduor Onyango who until her demise was a teacher at MM Shah Primary School in Kisumu, formerly a teacher at Arya Primary School.

She was daughter to the late Philemon Oduor Ogonya (FOJ) and Margaret Oduor She was step daughter to Mama Martina Oduor of Alego Masumbi, Siaya County. She was wife to Mwalimu Richard Onyango of Miwani Boys High school and formerly of Kisumu Boys High School. Irene was mother to Eng. Fay Onyango formerly of JKUAT, Agnes Onyango of Strathmore University and Ezekiel Onyango of Maseno School. She was sister to Ambrose Adeya, George Ian of Carwash Clinic, Ohana of Stanbradox, Jacob Oduor of County Government of Siaya, Jeremy of Kisumu and Abinadam of Sifuyo Secondary school. She was step sister to Pamela Ochieng’ of Wilson Airport and Rose Ochieng’ of Nyawara.

Daughter in-law to the late Ezekiel Ongere, Leokadia Ongere, Mary Ongere, Bonfas Ogallo and Joshua Auma. She was in-law to Japheth Odhiambo of Klbos Sugar, Johaness Ouma Kang’o Pri School, Kennedy Oluoch of Ramulla Primary school, Jacob Ngeso, Joshua Ngara of Kericho County, Rev Hanningtone Ondiek of Rae ACK, Carolyne Ouma, Janet Adhiambo, Nancy Auma, Mercy Akinyi, Eng. Victor Mamba, Nancy Oluoch of Orenge Primary School, Patricia of Ombeyi Primary school, Millicent Lilian, Beatrice of Venmar School, Effie, late Isaac Okumu of Nyawara, Joseph Ochieng of Athletics Kenya, Wilrose, Thomas Skapper, Caleb Akech among others.

Granddaughter to the late Jeremiah Ogonya and late Dorsila Abuga of Alego Masumbi and Jenipher Kind Okoto and the late Michael OkotoAbok of Nyakach Kajimbo. There will be final fundraising on Wednesday 7th October 2020 at their Lolwe Residence in Kisumu.

A funeral service will be held at St Mark’s ACK Migosi in Kisumu on 9th October 2020 from 12 noon Burial will take place at their Kano Kabar home, Kisumu County on the 10th October 2020.
