It is with deep sorrow that we announce the demise of Mwalimu Jane Nyambura Murigi, that occurred on 20th February, 2022.
Daughter of the late Gakinyangi Gituire and the late Wanjiku Gakinyangi (Wakiraguri).
Wife to the late teacher Ephantus Murigi Karanja. Sister to Mwangi Gakinyangi (Wakiraguri), the late Martha Wangui, David Mugo and the late Felista Njoki.
Step-sister to the late WangCii Kihu, the late Meli Kaniaru, Mwangi Gakinyangi (Wamurega), the late Ekira Maika, Njoki Milya and Wanjiku Kahonge (Wakagiri).
Mother to Simon Ng’ang’a (Githima Hardware, Mwea), Peter Gathungu (Australia), Wilson Wainaina (Australia), Joseph Mwangi (Australia), Anastasia WangUi (University of Nairobi), Robert Muiruri (Australia) and Mary Wanjiku (Equip Africa Institute). Daughter-in-law to the late Karanja Karogo and the late Hannah Wangui (Mioho).
Mother-in-law to Rose Wairimu, Silvia Njoki (APHRC), Joyce Wairimu (Australia), Gladys Kyule (Eastleigh, Nairobi), Caroline Wanja and Paul Maina (GIZ).
Grandmother to Dennis, Nyambura, Liz, Winnie, Joy, Jewel, Julie, Sandra, Faizal, Fabiola, Maxwell,Arnold, Ethan,Alma,Alvin, Shane, Sophie and Tad.
Meetings and Funeral arrangements are ongoing at Norwich Union House – Nairobi CBD, Mama Ngina Street, opp. Hilton Hotel (Room No. 16), from 5:00pm – 9:00pm and at her home in Ndiara Village, Githima Location, Kigumo constituency, Murang’a County.
The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Friday 4th March, 2022 at 7.00am for burial at the family home in Ndiara Village, Githima Location, Kigumo Constituency, Murang’a County.
