It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mwalimu Jared Albert Otieno Atho on 26th July 2023.

Husband to the late Jane Akinyi Ndire, and Hilda Adhiambo Atho. Father to Lilian Atho, Collins Omondi Atho, Steve Atho, Raymond Atho, Verol Atho, Wesley Atho, and Chris Atho.

Brother to Margaret Atho, Wilkister Aoko, Andrea Onyodho, John Ongeri Magolo and Jackson Ndege.

Father-in-law to Dr Tom Ogila, Faith Mwikali, and Norah Ogola and Valentine Achieng. Grandfather to Douglas Ogila, Thomas Ogila, Vivicah Akinyi, Travis Odhiambo  Nadia Akinyi, Henry Francis. Liana Omondi, Anderi Biko And Kairo Omondi.

Son-in-law to the late Henry Francis Ndire and Mama Wilkister Ndire, the late Abisalom Mitema and the late Mama Pilister Akello Mitema.

Nephew to the late Nashon Oinga, the late Nyapara Odwera and among others.

Cousin to Tobias Oinga, Kennedy Oinga, Josaphat Oinga, Alice, Hellen, Adoyo and Achieng among others.

Uncle to Aoko, Elsa, Ulda, Monica, Damaris, John, Daniel, Julita, Eunice, Sarah, Anyango, Robert, and Nick.

In-law to Samuel Ndire, Floureenc Ndire, Moses Ndire, Roselyne Apiyo Ndire, Milicent Adhiambo Ndire, The late George Mitema, Prof. Eric Mitema and the late Jane Mitema.

The cortege leaves Matata Nursing Home in Oyugis on the 31st of August 2021 Burial will be at his home in Namba, Migori County.
