It is with great sadness but acceptance of God’s will that we, the family of the late Ex Snr Chief Amoth Owira, announce the untimely death of Margaret Akumu Owira (Madam Owira) which occurred on Tuesday, June 15th, 2020 at Avenue Hospital, Kisumu.

She leaves behind her beloved husband Rebman Owira Amoth and children Stephen Ochieng (Eldoret), Hillary Owira (Bob) (Eldoret), Pamela (Atis) (Siaya) the late Chrispine, Caroline Estler (Germany) Maureen Owira (Ndori), Pauline Owira (Kisumu), Jackline Owira-Oloo (Germany) and Edwin Owira (Maseno University).Loving daughter of the late Mzee Joseph Omamo and the late Teresa Omamo of Ukwala. Sister of the late Francis Juma, the late Joseph Ngesa, Jenipher Omoga, Michael Obote, Ochieng Omamo, Suzan Ochola, Grace, Alice, Sam, Julius, Richard, Vero, Monica among others. Daughter in law to the late Ex Snr Chief Amoth Owira and the late Joyce Ochieng.

Sister in law to the late Rose Gumo, Duncan Amoth (Moi University), the late Collins, the late Stephen, Joachim, Erick, Anna, late John, late Edwin, George Opiyo, Halwenge, Dr. Amoth, Fredrick Ochola, Martina, Marion, Jecinta, Jane Otin, Jenipher, Mildred, Nyaramba among others. Mother in law to Alex Onyango, Florence Ochieng, Teresia Odhiambo, Dirk Estler, Dan Abwao and Albert Oloo. Aunty to Oliver, Christine, Emily, Kevin, Ian, Aaron, Imma, Ebby,vTessy, George, Tony, Fred, Judy, Night, Omondi, Eunice, Evans, Diana, Lorretta, Jackline, Omondi Otin, Claudio among others. Grandmother to Maurice, Calvince, Maureen, Sherlin, Bridgit, Sheanna, Kayline, Leonie, Hope, junior and Leyla.

The cortege leaves Avenue Mortuary – Kisumu on 19th June, 2020 for Siaya Segere. Madam Owira will be laid to rest on 20th June, 2020 at her home in Segere Village, Siaya County.
