MWALIMU MARGARET NJERI B. THUKU

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mrs. Margaret Njeri B. Thuku of Gaitheri village, Gaturi Ward, Kiharu Constituency, Muranga County.

Daughter of the late Duncan Kiiru Karuku and Beatrice Wangui of Kiriaini. Wife of the late Mwalimu Ben Thuku Gatama. Mother to the late Eng. Lawrence Gatama formerly of Public Works, Mary Muthoni Wanjohi, Anne Wangui Kaguma, the late Edwin Kiiru, Alfred Jesse Gatiaga, John Kiiru Thuku, Lucy Wanjiku Thuku, Primrose Wanjiru Thuku.

Sister to Charles Karuku, the late Rosemary Wanjiru Kariuki, Henry Ngure, the late Stanley Maina, George Karuku, Hosea Muchugu, Faith Njeri Muguku, Washington Karuku, Jeniffer Njeri Njogu the late Nicholas Munene, the late Wangari, Donald Munge, Kiroko, Njoki and Gichuru.

Sister-in-law to the late Assenath Wanjiku, the late Jesse Gatiaga, the late Fridah Murugi and Eunice Wagatare. Mother-in-law to Jane Gatama, the late Wanjohi Kaburi, John Kaguma, Catherine Wangui, Fraciah Wangari Kiiru, Patrick Gitonga Ngure. Grandmother and great-grandmother, aunt and cousin to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting at All Saints Cathedral on Tuesday 15th,Wednesday and Thursday and daily at her Gaitheri home at 5.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home (KU) -Thika Road on Saturday 19/02/2022, at 7:30am. Followed by the funeral service and burial at her home in Gaitheri Village, Muranga.
