It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of mwalimu Martin Oduor Ogot, former Principal of Sawagongo High School, after a short illness.

Loving husband of Orpah Ogot of Leonard Cheshire. Son of the late mzee Manasse Ogot and late mama Mariam Ohadha of Alego Mur Ng’iya. Son in-law of the late mzee Fanuel Jangaya and the late mama Elizabeth Jangaya of Nyahera, Obede school. Loving father of Beryl (JOOTRH), Anita (AAF), Norine (Denmark), Serah (Denmark), Dorsy (AMREF University) and the late Daniel Ogot. Father-in-law of Milan Amara, Elijah Odundo and Johnknote Pacho.

Grandfather of Paul, Christian, Miracle, Daniella Pacho, Daniel Odundo, Daniella Odundo, Daniel Amara, Martin, Frey, Oprah Aguka and Oprah Odundo. Brother of the late Zadock Otieno, the late Jerry Owuor, the late Raphael Ouma, Patrick Ogot, the late Rhoda Roy, Pamela Kola, Christine Apondo, the late Jeckonia Ogot, Alice Mbaja, Fred Ogot and the late Perez Wesonga. Brother in-law of the late Christine, Roseline, Mary, Alice, the late Roy. Silvano, the late Hezbon, Daniel, the late Dickson, Ishmael, Benard, Beatrice and Anthony among others. He was an uncle of many.

The burial will take place at his home in Mur Ng’iya on 18th July 2020.
