MWALIMU SALOME WAIRIMU RICHU

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mwalimu Salome Wairimu Richu which occurred on 9th January 2025 at Coptic Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Charles Richu Mwangi.

Daughter of the late Joram and Julia Mugo. Daughter-in-law of the late Jivin Mwangi Richu and Sarah Wangari Mwangi.

Mother to James Mwangi, the late Mercy Kagwiria, Johnson and Jane Mugo, Karingo Wa Njoka and Wangari Karingo, Medrine Wanjiku and Evangeline Wambui.

She was a sister of the late Naomi Nyambura, the late Esther Gachambi, Loise Kariuki, Martha Kiguta, the late Sophia Ndung’u, Prof. (Dr) Rose Kamenwa, Humphrey Mbathi and Gerald Gatimu.

Sister-in-law of the late Margaret Wambui, Dinah Njeri, Charles and Anne Maina, Stanley and Beth Muriithi, Kenneth and Abijah Wachira

Adored grandmother of Kelvin Richu, Martin Mwangi, Sharon Wairimu, Shanice Wangeci, Njoka Karingo, Karuana Karingo, Kelvin Richu and Esperanza Wairimu.

Beloved auntie to many.

Family and friends are meeting at All Saints Cathedral on 14th, 15th and 16th January from 5:00 PM and at her Kamacharia home daily from 4:00 PM.

The funeral service will be held on Friday 17th January from 10:00 AM at the ACK Karia-ini and burial thereafter at her Kamacharia home, Mathioya Division, Murang’a County.
