MWALIMU ZAKAYO MUSYOKI MAUNDU

With humble acceptance of God’s divine will, we announce the passing of Mwalimu Zakayo Musyoki Maundu, who was called to eternal rest on 21 st January 2025. 

He was a devoted husband of Mrs. Esther Maundu and a beloved son of the late Titus Maundu, the late Rebecca Maundu, and the late Monica Maundu.

He was also a cherished son-in-law of the late Paul Makau Kilauni and the late Priscilla Katete Makau.

A loving father, Mwalimu Zakayo is survived by his children: Sammy Musyoki, Elias Makau, Joseph Kioko, Rebecca Maundu, and Priscilla Katete.

He was a father-in-law of Joyce Maundu, Khadija Makau, and Gladys Kioko, and a proud grandfather of Xavier Musyoki, Evra Mutua, Estelle Ndulu, Nicole Ndulu, Shalynn Makau,  Nathan Maundu, Jasmine Jefwa, Ivy Kioko, Michael Kioko, John Kioko, Ryan Mudibo and Ethan Musyoki. 

Brother of the late Timothy Kalatine, the late Emanuel Nyamai, the late Anna Ngene, Apia Kimuli, Grace Kondi, the late Onesmus Maundu, Francis Kyalo, Hellen Kilaka, Charles Maundu, William Kiseve, Daniel Maundu, Jane Mwende, and Ruth Mulinge. 

Brother-in-law of Jonathan Mwau Makau, the late Agnes Nduku, Serah Mueni Timothy, the late Stephen Mutunga Makau, John Mwongela Kilauni, the late Charles Mutua Kilauni, and Joseph Mutinda Kilauni.

A treasured uncle, teacher and mentor to many.

The burial ceremony will be held at his farm in Kaiti Constituency, Ukia Ward-Kivutini, on Saturday, 1st February 2025.

Planning Meetings will be held at Shrine of Mary Help of Christians-Don Bosco Upper-hill on Friday 24th , Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th of January 2025.
