MWARIMU DAMARIS KANUTHU KIMARI

1942 – 2024

It is with the humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our Matriarch, Mwarimu Damaris Kanuthu Kimari, who hails from Githare village, Thuita sub-location, Kamacaria Location of Murang’a County

She is the wife of Joseph Kimari, daughter of Jason Murugu Wawert and Milkah Wambura Waithaka (both deceased), sister of Obed Waweru (deceased), Hannah Wagakira Muiru, Wangui Nduna, Isabella Wanjiru Maina, Mathew Waithaka (deceased), Bedan Maina Kanyi and Margaret Warugurd Negatia.

Damaris and her husband were blessed with children; Lucy Rwigi of Karen C Secondary and Dr Kibe Rwigi of the
University of Nairobi, Nguma Kimari of Kabete National Polytechnic and Pauline Njeri of Thika Technical, Muruga Kimari of Four Stars Insurance Brokers, Waithira Chege and Njambi Kamau, Florence Wambura and Martin Ng’ang’a of USA, Eng. John Kimari of Apec and Julia Wambui, Julia Wamaitha and Stanley Ngatia, Anne Wagakira and William Muregi.

She is a grandmother and great grandmother of many.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home, Kabati, on Saturday, January 13th, 2024, at 9.00a.m. for a requiem mass at 11:00 am at Thuita Primary School grounds d burial thereafter at her Githare Village home.
