It is with acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mzee Daniel Kahara Wa kigo “DAKAWA) on 05/05/2020. He hailed from Waithaka Division, Dagoretti South, Nairobi.

Son of the late Wa kigo (Muchene) Wakaruigi, and Wambui Mondothi. Husband of Naomi Wairimu and the late Serah Wairimu. Brother of Lucy Mwihaki, Daniel Modothi, Joyce Gaciku, Jeremiah Mukuria, James Wangugi, Henry Huthu and Kangeri Munene. Father of Virginia Wambui Maguta and Paul Maguta both of Blue View Academy, Waithaka, Lucy Wambui (Crescent Realtors), Kelvin Muchene, Virginia Wambui, and the late Joseph Muchene. Grandfather of Serah Wairimu and Naya Wairimu. In-law of Mbugua Maguta and the late Joyce Mbugua of Molo.

Family and friends meet daily at home, Waithaka, Dagoretti, near St. Parthenous Orthodox Church, Waithaka for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral home on Saturday 9/05/2020 at 9 am for a funeral service at home from 11.00am, followed by burial thereafter at 12.30 pm at the same venue.

Due to COVID- 19 rules, burial will be restricted to the close family.
