Mzee Ezekiel Gathiga Kioria

We wish to announce the death of Mzee Ezekiel Gathiga Kioria, Son of the late John Kioria and Mary Muthoni Kioria; on 27th February 2020. He hailed from Thuita village, Kamacharia Location, Mathioya Sub-County, Murang’a County.

Husband of the late Rahab Waihiga Gathiga. Loving father of Prof. Zipporah Wangui Ngumi, the late Clement Kioria, Winnie Muthoni Wanjohi, Jonathan Gikonyo, the late Naomi Wangari Thiong’o, Dinah Wambura, Peter Njuru, Jean J. Wanjiru, and the late Joan Wangui. Grandfather of many children. Brother of the late Wanjiru Mbanya, the late Peter Njuru, the late Wangari Murira, late Njoka Kioria, Lydia Wangui, the late Euticus Wambugu, Millicent Wambura and late Charles Gachago.

Friends and Family are meeting in his home in Thuita for prayers. A prayer meeting will also be held at the Nairobi Baptist Church, Ngong Road on Tuesday 3rd March 2020 at 5.00 pm.

The cortege leaves Kiriaini Mission Hospital Mortuary on Thursday 5th March at 8.00am. Burial will take place at his Thuita home village, on the same day, following a Church Service at 11.00 am, at the AIPCA Church, Thuita, along the new Geitwa-Kiriaini Road.
