MZEE IBRAHIM ODUOR AKEK

It is with a deep sense of loss and sadness that we announce the passing on of Mzee Ibrahim Oduor Akek on the 8th October 2020.

Son of the late Joseph Akek and the late Itera Nyawana of Alego Usonga. Beloved husband of the late Philister Akoth Oduor, the late Celestine Apondi Oduor, the late Angelina Anyango and the late Gaudencia Aoko Oduor. Son-in-law of the late Mr. and Mrs Ajinja Oloo, late Mr and Mrs Thomas Awino, late Mr and Mrs Jeremino Agola Ayimba, late Mr. and Mrs Jaganyi Omondi Agin. Father of the late Wahong’o, Joseph Lugulu, late Francis Juma K’Oduor, Michael Onyango Oduor, Irene Achieng, Bernard Otieno, Cleve Ochieng, Lilian Awuor, Antony Owino, Chrispine Onyango, Jessica Akinyi, late Beatrice Akek, Richard Ochieng, late Risper Anyango, Eunice Adhiambo, Maurene Oduor, Fredrick Odhiambo, Kevin Otieno, Everlyne Oduor, Carolyne Anyango, Joseph Akek, Emily Oduor, Oscar Oduor and Eunice Oduor. Brother of the late Ochiel Ameja, George Misinga, Michael Ochiel, Rose Akumu, Margaret Adero and Sisia Akek, the late Mother to Omwolo and the Late Mother to Muka. Father-in-law to Christine Lugulu, Jane Awuor Onyango, Rose Otieno, Risper Ochieng, Margaret Akinyi, Caroline Atieno, Esther Otieno, Winnie Oscar, Dorine Akek, Kenneth Kanani, David Apudo, Agustine Oduor Akek Omuya and Josiah Koko. Grandfather and the great grandfather to many.

The body is lying at Tanaka Funeral Home, Busia. There will be a funeral service at The Voice of Salvation and healing church-Busia on Wednesday 21st October 2020 at 2:00pm.Thereafter the body will be taken to the family residence in Burumba for an overnight stay.

The cortege will depart for Sidundo,Alego-Usonga,siaya County on Thursday 22nd October 2020, at 8:00am. Burial service will be held on Friday 23rd October, 2020 at his home where he will be finally laid to rest.
