MZEE ISAAC NDERITU WAWERU

1922 – 2021

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mzee Isaac Nderitu Waweru in his sleep on 28th June, 2021, at the age of 99.

Son of the late Waweru Thamaini and the late Ruth Wambui. Husband of the late Grace Kirigo. Father of the late Lucy Wambui, Priscila Nyawira, Joseph Kahoro, Shiphira Wangeci, the late Lydia Njoki, Wachira Nderitu, Rev. Cannon Jane Moffat and John Kariuki. Father-in-law of Rahab Njeri, Mary Wachira, Margaret Nyakwea, Moffat Muya, Simon Nderitu, the late Wahome and the late Anderson Ndungu. A grandfather and great-grandfather to many.

Family and friends are meeting at his home along Church Road, Mutathini Village, Nyeri, daily and at St Andrews Church Nairobi on Wednesday and Thursday between 5.30pm and 7.00pm.

The cortege leaves Outspan Hospital Nyeri, at 8.30 am on Saturday 3rd July for a church service at AIPCA Mutathini commencing at 10.00 am. Burial will follow thereafter at his home on Church Road, opposite the AIPCA Church. All Ministry of Health Covid-19 protocols will be observed. The Ceremony will be beamed live on You Tube.
