MZEE JACOB IGNATIUS MAINYA WASULWA

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Mzee Jacob Ignatius Mainya Wasulwa formerly of East African Portland Cement.

He was son of the late Wasulwa Wayuga and the late Mama Anna Opande. He was husband of Joyce Juma Mainya business woman Mbita. He was father of Anne Adhiambo Wasulwa, Josiah Mainya Wasulwa, Dorcas Akinyi, Elizabeth Ayalo, Claudie Nyamole and Beatrice Mainya. 

He was brother of the late Ogweno Wasulwa, the Late Charles Mikala, the Late Opiyo Wasulwa, Dickson Miluwi Wasulwa, others are the Late Anyango Oyamo, late Zablon Wasulwa, Mary Ogal, Leonida Aton.

Cousin of the late Otheru Odero, the late Oswere Odero, the late Philip Kinaga Odero, the late Rosbella Adhiambo Otuoma, the late Raphael Odero, the late Maria Kaudo, Felista Adoyo (Nyaseme), Agatha Oguta, the late Okello Atieno and the late Elizabeth Otuoma.

He was son in law of the late Gabriel Ochieng and the late Saulina Obumbi both of Seme Ngere, Kisumu County.

He was father in law of Peter Ogada, Teresia Muiruri Wasulwa and others.

He had over 50 grandchildren namely:- Mary Laura, George Fletcher, John Pride, Tyron Ignatius, Austin Jacob, Aiden Charles, Jocelyne Faustin, Abby Joy among  others.

Friends and family are meeting everyday at Hillcrest Park Estate Athi river and at his Mbita home.

He will be laid to rest on Thursday, 22nd August, 2024 at Kasgunga Ward, Mbita Sub County, Homa Bay County
