Mzee Jafan Samuel Nandi

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sad demise of Mzee Jafan Samuel Nandi, formerly of Kenya Railways, which occurred on Friday 6th March 2020 at Victoria Hospital, Kisumu after a short illness bravely borne.

Son of late Ogumbo Nyiwala and late Salina Akelo and late Francisca Awino, of Onjiko Tura- Nyando Sub County, Kisumu County. He was husband of the late Mama Hellen Nandi. Loving father to Rose, Josephine, late Omulo, Emma, Mildred, Molly, Maurice; uncle to Nick, late Caroline, Molly, Saline, Elizabeth,Akinyi, Bruno, Gabi, Sharon, Dottie, Odoso, Aloo, Omondi and Salina, the Okwama’s, the Okoth’s, the Otombo’s, the Bono’s and the Aloo’s. Brother to late Fenster, Risanael, Monica, late James, Muga, late Gordon, Agneta, Udo, Gladys, Margaret, Leotine and Lucia.

Brother-in-law to Mama Pamela Awuor, Mama Monica Udo, the late Emily Opuge and Anna Muga. Father-in law to Commissioner Jamasai Onyango, the late David Magoma, the late James Osodo, Boniface Onyango, Grace Omulo and Dorothy Oduor. Grandfather to Anene, Awuor, Mercy, Victor, Rodgers, Nancy, Joyce, Beryl, Nora, Omondi, Eunice, Omulo Jr, Xavier, Mike, Peggy, Oliver, Tony, Rose, Babu, Lynette, Oscar, Rozie, Vera, Brian, Toti, Meline and great grandfather to 11 children.

Family and friends are meeting at the All Saints Cathedral for a Fundraiser on Thursday 12th March 2020 from 5.30 pm. Contributions can be made via Mpesa Paybill No. 5142051, Account: Name of Sender.

The cortege leaves the Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu, on Friday 20th March 2020 at 10.00 am for a church service at Onjiko AIC-Ahero and thereafter burial at his home in Tura Village next to Onjiko High School on Saturday 21st March 2020.
