MZEE JOSEPH NJUGUNA MUNGAI (WA MUKAI)

It is with acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely death of Mzee Joseph Njuguna Mungai (Wa Mukai) of Ruiru Gitothua ACK which occurred on 29/5/2021.

Husband of Magaret Njeri Njuguna. Son of the late Claudius Mungai Thuo and Teresia Wambui Mungai. Son in-law to the late Charles Njenga Kinyua and Peninah Wambui Njenga of Gathiga -Nyathuna location. Father of Peter Njenga, Francis Thuo (Gachororo Secondary School),’ Geoffrey Kinyua (KRA Nairobi), John Mungai, David Waruiru, Teresia Wambui (High Hope Academy) and Richard Mukai (Macharia-Mwangi & Njeru Advocates).

Father in-law to Grace Wanjiru, Caroline Wamaitha, Monicah Mukina, Martin Ngunjiri and Susan Mumbi. Brother to the late Hannah Gaciku, Martha Wanjiru, the late Francis Thuo, the late Mary Wanjiku, Florence Wangui, Richard Mukai, Jane Muthoni and Hannah Wairimu. Cousin to James Ndegwa Kahiga and many others. He was grandfather to Margaret Njeri, Lionel Njuguna and many others.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University funeral home on Friday 4/6/2021. The funeral Holy mass will be held at St. Andrews Catholic Church Gitothua; Ruiru at 11.00 am and he will be laid to rest at his farm at Kabiriti, Mashinani (off Ruiru-Ruai bypass) in Ruiru Sub County, Kiambu County.
