It is with deep sorrow that we announce the silent resting of patriarch Mzee Joseph Ochako Orora of lbacho, Nyaribari Masaba, Kisii County on Thursday 31st August, 2021.

Son to the late Mzee Syliphanus Orora and the late Mama Paustina Moraa Gechuki.

Husband to the late Mama Norah Bisieri.

Brother to the late Victor Nyamori, Insobel John Nyagwaya, the late Charles Nyamari, Hellen Omweno and the late Samwel Obonyo.

Father to the late Fred Nyakundi, the late Charles Onchari, Joyce Kemunto, Tom Onyang’i, Peter Momanyi, Pam Kwamboka, the late Martin Orora and Wycliffe Maranga.

Father-in-law to: the late Phainorah Obure, the late Agnes Odonde, Norah Nyakerario, Agnes M’makinya, Gladys Masese, Hon. Simon Ogari, Esther Njenga and Sylivia Ngoge.

Grandfather to: Kevin, Rachealjonathan, Grace, Bruce, Maureen, Frank, Orora, Lillian, Glory, Moraa, Joshua, Caleb, Austin, Aiden, Tetta, Mark, Andrew, Samira and Shalani and 8 great-grandchildren: Furaha, Craig, Nuru, the late Miranda, Cruz, Mya, Jay Martin and Zara.

The cortege leaves Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH) Mortuary on Thursday 14th September, 2023 for overnight stay at his Ribwago home. The burial service will take place on Friday 15th September, 2023 at his home in Ribwago, Mamaywa, Nyamira County.
