MZEE PASTOR JOSEPH ONDIWA BALLAH (TELO)

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the transition to glory of Mzee Pastor Joseph Ondiwa Ballah (Telo), of Nomiya Church, Nyachida-Kwe Parish, Ujwang’a Diocese, which occurred on 13th February, 2023 at Lwak Mission Hospital, after a short illness.

Son of the late Mzee Noah Balla and the late Norah Setto of Asembo Kanyakala, Ujwang’a Village, West Asembo Location, Siaya County. Step-son to the late Salome Oyoko and Esther Odipo. Son-in-law to the late Mwalimu Leonard Sati Misula and the late Mzee Obilo both of Asembo Konyango, Raliew Village, East Asembo Location.

Cherished husband of Pheobe Dena Ondiwa and the late Getrude Okatch Ondiwa. Beloved father of the late Samson Ochieng, Moses Omollo, Ruth Akinyi, the late Paul Ochieng’, Asher Onyango, the late Susan Akinyi, Nelson Kondiwa and the late Christine Adhiambo. Father-in-law to Margaret Ochieng’, Esther Omollo, Cathrine Ochieng , Rehema Onyango, Lilian Kondiwa and Dorothy Kondiwa.

Loving brother to the late Silpah Njeya, the late Samson Oyugi (British), the late John Okanda, and the late Elly Odindo. Other siblings are; the late Shem, Dan, Daudi, Benjamin, lsaka, Henry, Pheobe, Gedion, Ezekiel and Herine.

Brother-in-law to the late Jane Oyugi, Wilkister Okanda, Hellen Odindo, among others.

An adored grandfather to Omondi, Otis, Norah, Awuondo, Netty, Odhialo, Tyson, Ang’ina, Mercy, Lucy, Rachel, GG, Atieno, Achida, the late Akumu, Ford, Loma, Sylvia, Gladys, Otwal, Angel, Hawi, Seanani, Tony, Loyce, Penina, Eunice, Essau, Seth, Laban, Ann, Levis, Shawn, Shantel, Shanice, Jim, Sally, Peter, Doroh, and Tiphany. He leaves behind 37 great-grandchildren, amongst others.

The cortege leaves Lwak Mission Hospital Mortuary on Friday 3rd March, 2023 at 11.00am for 3 requiem mass at Ujwang’a Church conducted by Bishop Enock Agedi before proceeding to the homestead at 2.00pm for a night vigil.

The burial to be on Saturday 4th March, 2023 conducted Nomiya Church, Ujwang’a Diocese at 2.00pm.
