MZEE PETER SIFUNA WEKONDI

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce demise of Mzee Peter Sifuna Wekondi, which occurred on 26th June, 2021, at Kenyatta National Hospital.

Son to the late Samson Wekondi Sikhayi and the late Sqlina Mauka Wekondi of Bunyang’anyi village, Navakholo Sub-County, Kakamega County. Husband to Christine lnduswe and Jackline Oteng’o, and father to Alfred, Mudogo, the late Babu, Walter, the late Alex, Millie, Davidson, Esther, Hall, Jael, Yunah. Son in law to the late Gerishom lnduswe and the late Michael Oteng’o. Father-in-law to Mary, Caroline, Namarome and Madaphine.

He was a brother to the late Tomas Kakarakacha, the late Paul Barasa, Agnes Liaka, the late Daudi Pande and the late Dina Nafuna. He was uncle to Gilbert, Margaret, Nyongesa, the late Dorcas, Shadrack, Pst Nyongesa, the late Namulanda, Stanley, Naumwo, and chief Nabiswa. He was grandfather to Diana, Landrin, Sammy and many others. He was cousin to Debla, Sila, the late Soida, the late Dr. Barasa, Judith, the late Blastus, and Prof. Waudo.

The body of papa will leave KNH mortuary for his final resting place on 2nd July, 2021 and he will be laid to rest on 3rd July, 2021 at his home in Kakamega County, Navakholo Sub-County, Bunyala West, Namundera-Bunyangianyi village (Khaunga).
