It is with humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the demise of Mzee Peter Weru Mwema of Thaithi Village Mathira in Nyeri County on 20 th September 2024.

Son of the late William Mwema and Lizzie Wagithi. Son in law of the late Mr & Mrs William Machocho Kanyuga of Muhotetu. Husband of Susan Wanjiru.

Brother of the late David Mwangi, Cornelius Maina, Samuel Mwangi, John Wachiuri, Elizabeth Mirigo and Moses Ndiritu (USA). 

Father of Eunah Wambui (Thika), Willie Machocho (UK), Anthony Mwema (Nyeri), Patricia Wamuyu (TSC) and Christine Nyawira (MOE). 

Father-in-law of Samuel Kariuki (Meru), Margaret Wambui (Mwea) and Mary Wanjiru (DeKUT). He was grandfather of Weru, Wanjiru, Steve, Tony, Noah and Liam.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home in Thaithi at 4.00pm for Prayers and funeral arrangements. 

The cortege leaves Tumutumu Hospital on Friday, 27th September 2024 at 9.00am for Funeral Service at Thaithi Catholic Church and thereafter burial at his farm in Thaithi Village.
