MZEE RICHARD KIPSAINA CHANGWONY ARAP TORRUT

It is with deep sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mzee Richard Kipsaina Chang’wony Arap Torrut, formerly of Kong’nyail and Ray farm villages in Uasin Gishu County, which occurred on 18th November 2024 at The Nairobi Hospital. 

He was the cherished son of the late Ego Mwatatei Torut and the late Zipporah Tula Torut.

He married Daisy Kimoi Torut of Kongnyalil Village and Rose Teriki Torut of Ray Farm Village.

Father of Netty Jemutai, Veska Chematia, Violet Jepkosgei, Chebiwot Kipsaina, Billy Kipruto, Jebet Kipsaina and Moses Kiprono.

He was also Edgar Kipchirchir’s guardian.

He was the father-in-law of many, including Eric Obenjo, Steven Lowe, Marion Mwenda, and Rochelle Saldua and a treasured grandfather of Cherono, Cherop, Chelanga, Zara, Jabari, Imani, Ngetich, Imani, Malaika, Uzieli, Adia,Yafethi, Kiptoo, Kiprono, Jepkoech, Chebiwot, Kipkemoi.

He was the brother of Nelly, Lilian, Joel, Joseph, Jacob, Margaret, Elly,Thomas, Esther, the late Obadiah, the late Daniel, the late Solomon, John, and Stephen, brother-in-law to many, including the late Kutto, the late Nathaniel, Ann, Josephina and Salome. A cousin and uncle to many.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral home on Friday, 22nd November 2024, for transportation to his family home in Kong’nyalil Village in Uasin Gishu County.

A brief prayer service will be held at the Eldoret Airport at 9:30 a.m.

Afterwards, the cortege will leave for a prayer service at his homestead at the Ray Farm Village on Friday, 22nd November 2024, at 11 a.m.

Funeral service and interment will occur on Saturday, the 23rd of November 2024, from 10a.m in Kong’nyalil Village, Karunai Meibeki Ward, Moiben Sub – County in Uasin Gishu County.

Isaiah 41:10 ~ Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Take care of each other, support one another and find peace knowing that my love for you transcends time and space.
