With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing of Mzee Sigilai Kipsigei Arap Sang’, of Kapkimolwa OIng’oswet, Bomet County, which occurred on Thursday 11th November, 2021, at Meridian Hospital – Nairobi.

Son to the late Kipsang’ Arap Terer and the late Taputany Terer. Stepson to the late Taplelei Terer and the lateTaputany. Loving husband to Grace Tabutany and Tabsabei Sang’. Beloved father to Samuel Sigei, Emily Koech, Paul Sigei, Esther Laboso, Simeon Sigilai, Dr. William Sigilai, Rebecca Marindany, the late David Sigei, Stephen Sigilai, Alice Bitok, Daniel Sigei, Henry Sigei and Peninah Langat.

Father-in-law to Eunice Sigei, Isaac Koech, Jane Sigei, Joseph Laboso, Elizabeth Sigilai, Esther Sigilai, Joseph Marindany, Florence Sigei, Zachary Bitok, Nancy Sigei, Janet Sigei, Robert Langat. Brother to Tamarta Korir, Grace Mitei, the late Tabarno Sing’oei, George Sitienei, the late Daniel Rongoei.

Stepbrother to Taputany Soi and Chesugut Mosonik. Uncle to the late Henry Mabwai, Raeli, Daniel, Christine, Ruth, Evelyn, Simon, Davis, Esther, Rhoda, Grace, Joyce, Paul, William, Sila, Bernard, Timothy, Norah, Philip, Nathan, Sarah, Enock, Miriam, Shadrack and many others. He leaves behind 55 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral home on Friday 19th November, 2021, for a requiem mass at Emmaus Deliverance Church in OIng’oswet.

He will be laid to rest on Saturday 20th November, 2021, at his home in OIng’oswet, Kapkimolwa, Bomet County.
