MZEE SILAS KAMUTA M’IGWETA

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of the late patriarch Mzee Silas Kamuta M’Igweta which occurred on 17th February 2024.

He was son of the late M’Nkuri and the late Naithimari M’Nkuri. Loving husband of Mrs. Grace Rigiri Silas and Sarah Kathambi.

Mariam Makena (Nrb), Purity Kinya (Nrb) and Dennis Mwenda (Nrb). Father-in-law of Rachael Kobia (Nrb) Rebecca Kangai Godfrey (Meru),

Felix Mwenda (Meru), Mary Erasmus (Meru), Titus Ntuchiu, former Deputy Governor Meru County, Jack Kailikia (Montreal Canada), William Njagi (Nrb), Doris Kinyua (Nrb), John Nyota (UK), Philips (New York) and others.

Brother of the late Mukomugaa, the late Muthoni, the late Juria Ithili, the late David M’thirarii, the late M’Ambutu, the late Kathimia, the late Munoru. Step-brother of M’Mwongo, (Koko) and the late Mburunga. Uncle and cousin of many.

He is survived by 36 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Meetings are being held at All Saints Cathedral on 17th and 18th June 2024 and daily at his home in Nairiri village Kianjai location, Meru County.

Requiem service will be held on Thursday, 20th June 2024 at Ruaraka M.C.K Church from 12.30p.m to 4.00p.m. Burial ceremony will be held at Nairiri MCK Church on Saturday, 22nd June 2024 and the body will be interred at his home Nairiri village, Nairiri sub location, Kianjai ward, Meru County.
