NAOMI KIRINGA KIGO

(1936 – 7th January 2021)

We announce the passing on to glory of Naomi Kiringa Kigo of Kangari Village, Kigumo Division Murang’a County on 7th January 2021 at Avenue Hospital, Thika after a short illness.

She was the daughter of the late Dedan Mukuna & the late Zipporah Nyambura.

She was sister to the late Grace Wanjiru Kagira, the late Rachel Wairimu, the late Virginia Wanene, the late Wilson Wairia, the late Agnes Wangari, Rosemary Muthoni (USA), Josephine Njeri and Erastus Marenye.

She was the wife of the late Chief Paul Kigo Njiiri. Mother to the late Pauline Kabaka & John Kabaka, Zipporah & Humphrey Gachagua, Mary & Joel Kinuthia (USA), Grace Kabiaru, Ruth Njihia (KEBS) & Peter Njihia, Rachel Wairimu, Jane & Peter Njiiri (KEBS), Rose & John Mukuna.

Step mother to Gerald Macharia, Francis Macharia, Rosemary Wambui, Agnes Nduta, William Kamau Wa Githeri, Faith Mbiruru, Joseph Njiiri, Eunice Kabao, Wilfred Njiiri among many others.

She was blessed with 26 grandchildren among them Juliet Kabaka-Kiplagat, Peter Gachagua (Chloride Exide), Martin Kirundi (USA), Nathan Njihia, Toivo Kiai, Humphrey Kigo, Yvonne Mukuna and 19 great grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily from 5pm at Kirundi’s residence at No. 159 Mugumo Close, Runda Evergreen, at Mona Lisa Restaurant Delview and at her residence in Kangari, Murang’a County.

Graveside funeral service and burial will be on Saturday 16th January 2021 at her home in Kangari, Murang’a County.
