We regret to announce the death of Nimrod Kimani Wakahia on the 7th of October, 2024.

He was the 2nd born of the late Jamlick Wakahia and Doris Waituha.

Brother of the late Millicent Wanjiku, the late Pauline Njarumi, the late John Gutheka, the late Jane Iruga, the late Peter Mungai and Fredrick Muiruri.

He was the beloved husband of the late Dorcas Wambui Kimani and doting father of the late Linus Wakahia, the late Jennifer Njeri, Andrew Macharia, John Gutheka, Frazieh Kabura, Lawrence Kiragu and Catherine Wanjiku.

Father-in-law of the late Esther Wakahia, Lucy Wangechi, Henry Ngugi, Martha Macharia, Grace Gutheka, Cassie Kiragu and James Kahete.

Grandfather of Alex Kang’ethe, Antony Kimani, Kevin Ngugi, Maureen Kabui, Dorcas Wambui, Ivy Wambui, Maryanne Wamaitha, Ivy Waithera, Margaret Njeri, Faith Wangui, Vivian Njeri, Sierra Wambui, Abby Wachuka, Lance Kimani, Keelan Kariuki, Aiden Wakahia, Hope Njeri, Adrian Kimani, Abel Machua, Shayo Reyes and Favour Wambui. Grandfather-in-law of Julianna Wambui, Fiona Wambui, Jean Karienye, Brian Kahiga and Enrique Reyes.

He was additionally blessed with numerous great grandchildren as follows: Leon Ngugi, Jennifer Njeri, Jenilyn Wanjiru, Ethan Kang’ethe, Liam Wakahia, Lindiwe Wambui, the late Jemma Kinya, Shayo Reyes, Kai Kahiga and Kawira Wambui.

The cortège shall leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home, Kabati, on the 18th of October, 2024, at 08.00am for a funeral service at St John’s Kihuruini Church, Maria-ini, Murang’a, and subsequent burial at the family home in Maria-ini Village, Murang’a County.
