With thanks giving for a life well lived, we bewail to announce the Death of matriarch NORAH NYAMECHI OMBATI which occurred on 27th November 2020 daughter of the Late Seneti from Matierio. She hails from Metembe I Village, Riabigutu Sublocation, Enchoro Location, Masaba South Sub County, Kisii County. She was the wife of the late Malachi Ombati Ong’au.

Mother of Agnes Ongoto, Rtd. Teacher Zachary Ong’au, the late Ratemo, the late Moguche, Rtd. Teacher Teresa Omwancha, Joseph Osea, the late Musa, the late Peter, Evans Mairura, Advocate Ken Ombati, Henry Ombati of Batlex Insurance Brokers, &Teacher Thomas Ombati.

Mother in-law of Jane, Gesare, Mary, Moraa, Zipporah, Beatrice, Jocyline and Margret. Korera of Magucha, the late Jemima Otieno, Mokamba, Onsarigo, Muthoni Marangu & James Onyiego. Her brothers and sisters were the late Kemuma, the late Moige, the late Obwaya, the late Tongi, the late Kanika, the late Obonyo & the late Kwamboka.

Grandmother of Advocate Alfred Ongoto, Dr. Obonyo, Dr. Siabei (USA) and several others, Great Grandmother of many and Great Great Grandmother of four. Aunt of Zablon Boraya, Ratemo Kenguru, Ayoti Maonga, the late Ongeta Change, the late Samson Okemwa, Meshack Tongi, the late Daniel Matara, Nyakundi & Haron Morebu and many others.

The cortege leaves Hema Hospital mortuary on Friday 11th December 2020 7.00 am for a funeral and burial service at her home on the same day at Metembe I while adhering to strict MOH protocols and guidelines on gatherings due to the ongoing pandemic.
