OKHOYA AINEA WAFULA

Born: 3rd June 1936 – Rested: 4th September 2020

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of our beloved dad Mzee Okhoya Ainea Wafula after a prolonged sickness at Nairobi West Hospital on the 4th September 2020.

Son of the late Barnaba Wafula and the late Rhoda Nakhungu. Loving husband of Lois Monica Inyanji Okhoya. Father of Duncan – Standard Chartered Bank, Pamela and Maureen – USA, Christine – Thailand, Noelle – France, Dr. Victor-Canada and Dr. Karen – USA. He is survived by sisters Hellen, Lena and brother William Nandikove and many cousins, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Brother of the late David Wanjala and the late Lazarus Simasi. Father-in-law of Vivian Ashubwe. His grandchildren the late Isaac, Benjamin, Esther, Joseph, Amandla, Tinyan, Frederico, and Frank who brought a lot of joy and happiness to him and he loved them dearly.

Mr. Wafula loved and served his country diligently in various capacities including Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, Provincial Administration, at AAPAM, and Principal, Nyang’ori High School Maseno and many more.

Funeral date will be on 19th September 2020 in Namirama, Navakholo, Kakamega County.
