It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Omong’ina Hellen Nyaboke Nyakundi of Rigoko village, Nyansiong’o Gesima Scheme, Nyamira County, which occurred on the 17th October, 2021, at St. Francis Community Hospital – Kasarani, Nairobi.

Daughter to the late Omanga and the late Kerubo of Manga – lsecha. Sister to the late Kemoni Nyamweya and the late Mochache. Co-wife to the late Gechuki and Mokeira. Loving mother to Elder Samwel Abuta Nyakundi (Nairobi), the late Kinyari, Orutwa (South Africa), Erastus Jomo (Nairobi), the late Norah, the late Moraa, Mwalimu George Ogeto (Togomin Secondary, Bomet), Eunice (Eldoret), the late Christopher.

Grandmother to Ellah (USA), Elijah (Nairobi), Yunuke (Eldoret), Mochache (Resolution Insurance, Kisii), Lydia (Nairobi), Seth (County Assembly, Kisumu), Emmanuel (Nairobi), Gechemba (Saudi Arabia), Derrick (Eldoret), Naomi (Kisumu), Samson Nyakundi (Kisii University), Vena Moraa (MKU), Nyaboke Nyakundi Davidson (Kisii High Sch.), Abigail (Sironga Girls), Lindley Nyakundi, Kiprotich (ICS College, Nairobi) and Kibiwot (Kabsabet High School). Great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren.

Mother-in-law to Jemimah Emily (Nairobi), Margaret (Nyamira), Pamela (JOOTRH, Kisumu), Rose (Nairobi), Ruth (Suguta Sec, Nyamache) and Stephen Klpkore (Nairobi). Korera to Mzee Nyachiro, the late Onguba and Mellisela, Mzee Ongeri and Hellen Ongeri, the late Obara Gesare, Anne Morebi and the late Charles Kipkore.

Cousin to Basweti Nyamao and others, Stepmother to Alice, Florence, Momany, Esther, the late Nyakang’o, Lydia, Kemosi, the late Thomas, Dinah, Pamela, Peter Ogeto, Nyamweya, Job, Grace, Miriam, Onyancha and Anarl. Aunt to Omanga, Nyaberi,Teresia, George, among others.

The cortege will leave St. Francis Funeral Home on Thursday 28th October, 2021, for burial, which will be on 29th October, 2021, at her home Rigoko village, Nyansiongoi Gesima Scheme Nyamira County.

Friends and relatives are meeting at her home daily, for funeral arrangements. Main fundraising will be held on 27th October, 2021, at her home.
