It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will to announce untimely passing on of Omong’ina Rhoda Nyang’ara Ogutu, on 14th March, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital – Nairobi.

Daughter of the late Boraya Nyakon and the late Martha of Chicago, Gesabakwa Village. Loving wife of the late Omwalimu Samuel Ogutu Marindi. Caring mother of Priscah Nyachoka (Masabo), Dorca Mosomi (HT Esise Pry), the late Anne, Kenendy Nyakora (Nyachogochogo Sec), the late Alice Mona, Richard Keago, Jason Ogutu (St. Peters, Molo), Evans Mobisa (NIS), Miriam Magoma, Ondieki (PCEA, Nbi), VIr Gerald Ogutu (UoN), Major Vincent Nyakundi (DOD), Joel Marindi (KDF). Mother-in-law of Beatrice Mokeira, the late Josephine Kwamboka, Brenda Jepkemboi (Formerly Kabarak University), Beatrice Ebisiba (Nyaudo Pry, Homabay), Hyrine Kwamboka (Muongoiya Sec.), Martha Kwamboka (Kireini Boys) and Felma Adhiambo (Kahawa Wendani), Nchore, James Nyabuto (HT Narok Pry), Getanda.

Sister of the late Nyanduko, the late Councillor Ondoro, the late Nyabeta, Nyanoti and Rudia. Sister-in-law of Kebira, Ratemo, Michori, Thomas (Ibacho Sub-County Hospital), Nyachera, the late Kwamboka, Bwari, Ondigi, Magutu (NPS), Mobisa, Moraa, Biyaki, Jerusha, Tabitha, Nyaranda, Oniwenga’s Nyang’ara Ogutu and Orando’s. Grandmother of Moraa, Zablon, Martha, Polycarp, Dyran, Fiona, Alvan, Gloria, Quintets, Marindis, Jeremiah and Ogutu’s.

Ekorera to the late Nyankanga, the late Maiteka, Mboga, the late Osoro, Lino, Ongeri, Peris Kemunto, Mona, Onyango. Aunt to Keago, Abusa, Achimba, Chrispo, Marindis, the late Tom, the late Moranga, Bonareri, Joash, Peter, Machogu, Moranga, Nyakundi.

Family, friends and relatives are meeting daily at Silicon Valley Estate Eastern by pass, Kahawa Sukari B residences, along Thika Road, Nairobi and Mokoboko village in Kisii County, from 4.00pm, for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Nairobi, Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Morgue on 25th March, 2021 for burial ceremony at Mokobokobo Village, Nyamagesa Location, Nyankononi Sub-location and the burial will be on Friday 26th March, 2021.
