It is with humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the passing of Origen Kenneth Were formerly of KRA which occurred 21st May 2020 while undergoing treatment at Lifecare Hospital Bungoma.

Beloved Husband to the late Margaret Shisya Onzee. Firstborn Son to Dickson Sikwe and the late mama Julia Nekesa. Father to the late Noel Wakhutu, Brian Wakhutu, Maureen Were and Lilian Were. Brother to Godwin, Jonathan, Micah, Hellen, Richard among others. He was the first Grandson of the late Yohan Wakhutu and late Elizabeth Masangala. Brother-in-law to the late Kweyu, Dr. Amwee, Sabina, the late William, Mary, Pelina and Roseline.

Father-in-law to Mildred Ivasha, Joseph Kyallo and Michael Mwangi. Grandfather to Ryan Were, David Makumi and Ian Onzee.

Uncle to Davis, Derrick, Martin, Gaudencia, Jack, Abigael among others. Nephew to Stanely Nandwa, Zablon Were, Rev. Canon Julius Were, Esther Ombunda, Humpreys Were and late Absalom Onyango Were. Cousin to Eliana, Bibian, Timothy, Cosmas, Ben among others.

He will be laid to rest at his home in Nasuu village, Lung’anyiro Location, Matungu Sub-County, Kakamega County.
