It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that the Family of Maindi, KIKO Nairobi and Mwatungo Welfare Association announce the promotion to glory of our beloved Patriarch Pastor/ Mwalimu Charles Mbuva Maindi which occurred on Friday 7th April 2023 at The Aga Khan University Hospital while undergoing treatment.

Son of the late Samson Maindi Nguku and the late Nthambi Maindi.

Beloved husband to Beth Ndinda Mbuva. Doting father to the late Mwikali, Phoebe Ndunge of Cactus Travels, Penninah Mwongeli of Thawabu Primary School, Regina Nthambi, Felistus Nthenya of Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary – Public Service Performance Management Unit and Jacqueline Nduku of TradeMark Africa.

Father-in-law to Philip Nyamai of Joylar Enterprises, Bishop Dr. Solomon Mumo Moto of Alive In Christ Ministry (AICM) Nairobi, James Muli Sinah of the World Bank Group, Nicholas Langat of Welthungerhiffe, among others.

Son-in-law to the late James Mutisya Wathome and the late Mary Muthee Mutisya.

Brother to Naomi Kalunda & Masila, the late Joseph Kisavi & Grace, Moses Kalungu & the late Rhoda, Benson Katiwa & Jane, Daniel Kimetu & Priscila and Titus King’uyu & Ann. Step-brother to the late Michael Mbaluka, Loise & the late Monica, John Kitetu & Priscila, Samuel Nzusu & the late Alice, Joshua Wasua & Florence, the late Mavindu Ngumbi and Ngali Mungaithi.

Brother-in-law to the late Diana Kavenya, Ngile, Daudi, the late Mathew, Mutuku,Wambua, Paul, the late Rosemary Kanini, Francis Mwania among others.

Proud grandfather to Larry Mbuva, Purity June, Harvey Sinah, Rooney Mbuva, Prince Mumo, Joy Musangi, Clara Ndinda, Raiyan Lemaiyan, Alicia Ninah, Gift job Muthini, Sasha Cheptoo, among others. Uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at his home in Mwatungo village – Kithyoko Location.

The cortege leaves The Aga Khan University Hospital Funeral Home on Friday, 21st April 2023 at 7.00am for burial service at his family home in Mwatungo village, Kithyoko ocation, Masinga Sub-County — Machakos County, starting at 11.00am.

Revelation 20:6 “Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a  thousand years.
