PASTOR SAMSON MECHA GESUMWA

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of Goes will that we announce the untimely passing on of the servant of God Pastor Samson Mecha Gesumwa of Central Kenya Conference (CKC) of the Seventh day Adventist Church on 17 Nov 2020 after a short illness.

Son of the late Gesumwa Oreni Mwebi and Mama Rebecca Kwamboka Gesumwa and the late Kemunto Gesumwa. Loving husband to Hellen Nyabonyi Mecha. Caring father to Irene Bosibori Masimba, Edwin Monari Mecha and David Gesumwa Mecha. Brother to Late Omariba, James, Joseph, Gesare, late Stephen, Magoma, Boyani, Nyangweso, Yunes Makori, Onsongo, Motugutua Nyabwansu and late Kwamboka. He was the father-in-law to Jones Masimba, Ruth Mabera Monari and Zipporah Kwamboka Gesumwa.

Son-in-law to late Jason Nyambureti and Mary Ondieki. Brother-in-law to Achachi, Fred, Pamela, Bosire, Moses and Tom. Semo to Zablon Karara. Cousin to late Ondeu Mwebi, late Stanslaus Mayieka, Nelson Ongwae, Arande, Abel Kaburi, Zachariah Omwocha. Prof Bowe, Yabesh, Daudis, Monari among others. Uncle to Governor James Ongwae (Kisii County), Eddy, late Bosire, Jeremiah, Peter, Henry, George, Susan, Gesare, Ondeus, Mayiekas, Nyabwansus, Omaribas, James, Josephs, Gesares, Stephens, Magomas, Kwambokas, Ongwaes, Arandes, jerusas. Korera to Jaspa and Joyce Masimba, Hellen and Samuel Mweresa, Rebbecca and Gideon Ongwae. Grandfather to David Momanyi, Mitchelle Kwamboka.

Family, friends and relatives are meeting daily at his Nairobi home on Kangundo Road Joska town and Nyamakoroto village. There will be a church service followed immediately by a fundraising to help offset medical and funeral expenses TODAY Wednesday November 25th, 2020 at Nairobi Central SDA Church (Maxwell SDA) starting at 2:00 pm.

The cortege leaves Nairobi Adventist Hospital on Red Hill Road Karura on 27th November 2020 at 4:00 am proceeding to his rural home in Nyamira County, Gesirn Sub-County, Nyamakoroto village where he will be laid to rest.
