Pastor Simon Mwangi Karanja

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Pastor Simon Mwangi Karanja (Wamary) of Nairobi Chapel. 

Son of Mary Muthoni Karanja and the late Joseph Karanja Muchunu.

Brother of Peter Kinyanjui (Embakasi Girls Secondary School), Carol Nyambura (Joscal Electricals – Nairobi), the late Patrick Muchunu and the late Paul Kanyiri.

Nephew of Dr. Gitau Muchunu and Margaret Gitau, Lilian Wairimu Muchuru and Godfrey Muchuru (Gulftech Electrical), Zachariah Karanja (Kisumu), Dr. Karanja Kinyanjui (Thika), among others.

Cousin of Margaret Wanjiru Muigai (Macri Electricals), Dr. Bedan Kinyanjui (Murang’a), Dr.Freshiah, Captain Victor Njoroge (Kenya Airways), Olive Kirigo Kibe, among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his mother’s home along Northern Bypass starting at 4.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

There will be a memorial service at Nairobi Chapel (Ngong Road) on Monday, 8th July 2024 starting at 10.00am.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Referral Funeral Home (K.U Bypass) on Wednesday, 10th July 2024 at 8.00am, followed by a funeral service and interment at his parent’s home in Githunguchu, Gatundu South, Kiambu starting at 10.00am.
